The brief descriptions below are designed to familiarize you with our staff’s training, professional credentials and work experience.

Cristina P. Kennedy, DMD

Cristina Kennedy D.M.D., graduated from OHSU in 1993 with high honors, receiving several awards for clinical excellence.  Since graduation she has dedicated extensive hours to expanding her knowledge with continuing education courses in cosmetic dentistry, children’s dentistry, preventive care and treatment of gum disease.  She served as a part-time faculty member at OHSU School of Dentistry for several years before dedicating her full-time effort to patients at her private practice in Gresham.

Dr. Kennedy helps patients who have high dental anxiety with her caring, compassionate and gentle touch and selective use of sedation when necessary.  She strives to provide a unique and pleasant patient experience by listening to patients’ dental needs in a private and quiet setting prior to an extensive dental examination.  At Kennedy Family Dentistry, every patient, has the opportunity to ask questions and receive options for care our goal is to exceed patient expectations for quality of care and comfort.

 

Michelle
Michelle is a friendly, gentle and caring hygienist with more than 20 years dedicated to improving patients’ dental and oral health. Michelle thrives on staying current with new therapies in the periodontal field by attending numerous study clubs and continuing education classes. This enables her to provide the highest quality of care for our patients. Michelle grew up in Ottawa, Ontario Canada and enjoys reading, walking and cooking.

Susan
Susan brings over twenty years of dental and office experience. One of her favorite challenges is dealing with insurance companies on behalf of the patients. She will go the extra mile for patients helping them by scheduling their appointments, coordinating referrals, reviewing their insurance benefits and plans, contacting pharmacies for prescription refills, and much more.

It has been rumored that she has a bunk bed in the back office just to make sure the patients can reach someone 24 hours a day.

Rhonda
Rhonda has been a dental assistant for ten years. Over the years she has taken additional certification courses to expand her clinical capabilities and to broaden the skills she has to offer our patients. Rhonda is very personable and enjoys getting to know each patient individually. Her tender and compassionate approach puts even our most anxious patients at ease.

 

Crystal
Crystal is the second assistant on the team.  She performs a multitude of functions including sterilization, assisting the hygienist and other team members. Her invaluable work assures that the office operations run smoothly.  She has recently completed her pre-requisite studies to apply to the dental hygiene program in the fall of 2009.
